First day at school ( wee bit late!)

It is nearly 2 weeks since the start of school, the bushfires and running around with school pick ups and other appointments have put updating my blog on the back burner. but finally the post of the first day of school for our youngest daughter Rylee and returning to grade 2 for older sister Darcy. It is hard to believe that our baby is off to school, it seems like only yesterday that she was born!! There were no tears from Rylee and surprisingly none from Mum! Rylee is loving heading off to school and feels totally comfortable in the school having visiting daily for the last 2 years when dropping Darcy off. I have not had to get used to being in the house by myself yet (I am sure it will happen with ease!) as DH is still at home on holidays and Rylee is finishing at 2pm everyday for the month of February. Tuesday DH heads off to work again (sniff!) and i will have the house to myself- should be fun!!!!

To all the firefighters and volunteers who have helped and worked during the fires in victoria, you are absolute superstars and you have been in our thoughts and prayers for a safe return to your families- THANK YOU.
To those who have lost homes and loved ones you are also in our thoughts and we pray that you will find comfort and shelter again soon.

Claire's 21st

Our niece turned 21 last Thursday, she celebrated her milestone with a rainbow party on Friday night. An awesome night enjoyed by many despite the fact that there was no power for at least half the night! No power means No airconditioning, No music and No flushing toilets but on the bright side all her friends and family were there and there was cold drinks- of the alcoholic type of course! A knight in shining armour came to the rescue with a generator which allow the music to play and the party to begin earlier than the power company could!

Claire in the centre, her sisters Mandy and Lauren to the left, my brother Terry and sister in law Marion to the right.

Me, Darcy and Rylee dressed ready to head off to the party!

Down at the Beach!

We have been lucky enough to be able to use some great friend's beach house down at Dromana. We spent the last week of the school holidays, in the heat wave, with the beach at our door step, having some wonderful family times and catching up with friends. We spent the mornings playing at the beach, home to watch the tennis during the hottest part of the day and then heading back to the cool of the water in the evening! What a life!!

Ash with the girls, playing on the boogie board.
Darcy playing up to the camera- yet again!

Lots of sunscreen! it is a bit hard to see the good time we are all having- lol!

I'm Back!!!!

We are now back from holidays, revved up for yet another year!!
I have a few posts up my sleeve ready to add, so stay tuned................................

Friends of ours had a new arrival late last year, as part of Jagan's welcome present I made a box of thank you cards for his parents to send out. the box (made from co-ordinating card stock) included 10 cards, featuring 2 different designs. This is a unique gift to give a couple who have just had a baby as there are so many people to thanks, and what better was than a beautiful hand made cards!
