Curtain Call- Act 27 "Happy Mother's Day"

Hello and welcome back for yet another week!
Act 27's colours are just the perfect inspiration for a Mother's Day creation- introducing the colours........... Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo.
I have used Rose Red as Melon Mambo is a new colour here, even though I have some card stock but I don't have the ink pad, as you can see I used not cardstock but needed the ink- isn't that always the way!!  I have to admit that I love Rose Red, I feel it is a bit more Mumsy than the Melon Mambo- but I sure that I will fall in love with Melon Mambo too in the not too distant future, my new MM inkpad is only a week away, just ordered it today- yipee!!!
Yet another week when my card looks nothing like what was in my head before I started!!  When I was looking at all the delicious entries from last week, I was inspired to create a clean and simple look with lots of white- Hmmm........... this is not the result for me though :(.  I take my hat off to all those very talented ones who can pull it off - mwah!!
Aren't these flowers in the picture just beautiful, I just want to smell them up!!!

If you would like to play along, head over to Stacey's Stamping Stage and link your creation in with Mr Linky!  Remember Mother's day is only 2 weeks away, so come along and share you creation for a very special Mum!

If you would like some inspiration to get you started with these colours you can head over to the Design Team members blogs to check out their stunning creations and our illustrious leader, Super Stacey, will have a beautiful creation to get you going too!

Curtain Call # 26

Welcome back for another of Stacey's Stunning Curtain Call Colour Challenges!  Act #26 calls for the use of Whisper White, Basic Gray, Going Gray and Crushed Curry ( in my case not yet available in Australia, so I have substituted Summer Sun).  I really had fun making this card, roughing up the edges and making it a little bit dirty, defiantely different from my usual style!  But with a run of boy's birthdays coming up it was necessary to come up with a suitable design!  this is another set I bought while in Canada late last year and only mounted it just before I used it!!

If you would like to play along, head over to Stacey's Stamping Stage and link your creation in with Mr Linky! I hope you can join in for yet another week!

A surprise from the lovely Marisa

Last week (been a bit slow here of late, lots to do to prepare for DD's birthday!) the lovely and inspirational Marisa over at Rosemary Reflections sent me this award, I must say that I was so proud to have received it,(thank you , thank you, thank you!) it put a smile on my face for the entire day!  I wasn't sure what to do with it but now I have picked the brains of Ange at Creative inspirations, I think I may have it worked out, well here goes!

In keeping with the award, you have to share ten things about yourself so here you are:

1.I love to share my passion of stamping with other, getting them addicted too is such a rush!  not sure I share that passion to share with our girls cause I always end up cleaning up after them-lol

2.I really enjoy our girls when they are sleeping, they just look soooooo cute in their beds all tucked up!  I really do love them- as challenging as they are at times!

3.I am very untidy when I create, just ask my very patient husband

4. I love to accumulate stamps and stamping stuff, but at times have no desire to use it, so much harder than purchasing!  I still have stamps that are unmounted after many months!

5.My husband and I have just started latin dance lessons, which are so much fun (the body doesn't think so the next day though) I really enjoy doing something special with my DH

6. I love to bake to fill other's tummies, I find myself often in the kitchen baking up a storm!  I must say that my passion for cooking has dimmed somewhat since my passion for stamping has increased!

7. I am a natural procrastinator, why do today what can be done tomorrow!

8. I am happily enjoying my 2nd marriage, 10years and still going strong, getting better each and everyday!  I look forward to my DH walking in the door every night after work- he provides my much needed balance!

9. Now that I have reached the ripe old age of 40, I am comfortable with myself and my body (not really much choice- hehe!)

10.  I am have very strong principles, especially honesty and have little time for those that don't :(

That wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be!

The second part of the award is to pass the award on to 10 other blogs that I find beautiful, the ones I have chosen to pass it on to I find very inspirational, enjoy stopping by often, and love their creations.  I have many that fit this criteria, so here goes..................

The beautiful blogs I would like to pass this award on to are:

1. Ange Kelly at Creative Inspirations, for being a great friend and an inspiration, and sharing my addiction and encouraging it at every opportunity!!

2. Angela Muir at 'It's all about me! & a little about them' for being an inspiration and showing me a differnt way to create!

3. Robyn at Rainbows by Robyn for sharing her great style and leaving wonderful comments!

4. Stacey at Stacey's Stamping Stage, for giving me the opportunity to be part of her amazing design team and for showing how much you can get done with a busy family and a job-take my hat off to you! :)

5. Teneale at Teneale Williams for her elegant designs and willingness to share her ideas.

6. Marelle at thINK Spot, a great place to be inspired

7.Vicki at It's a stamp thing, I just love her style, all the cards she makes are absolutely stunning!

8. Dawn at Raspberry Suite, I love her simple and very elegant style,  I enjoy stopping by and checking out her latest designs and tutorials, always something to learn and try!

9. Nichole at Capture the Moment, what an amazing lady, and not to mention very talented!  Someone who loves to help fellow stampers get the stamps and the quality they want!

10.  And last but by no means least, my members in the Curtain Call Crew design team.  Every week I look forward to seeing their designs and their take on the colours, always there to inspire and rediscover my mojo!A big thank you to Andrea, Amy, Iwona, JulieLea, Marisa, Melissa, Shelley- thank you Ladies !

Two for One

This post is a combo of 2 challenges, Colour Q #28 and Clean & simple FTL 86, I have seen some amazing entries for both challenges which inspired me to get into gear!  The dots on the clean and simple layout also tickled my family-looooooove dots!!  I have just borrowed the circle circus set from my wonderful SU demonstrator (not to mention fantastic friend!!) and knew that this is where I needed to use it.  Aren't the colours for the  colour Q sensational, once again, not colours that I would normally team together, but loved using them together!

Cardstock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, Regal Rose, Taken with Teal
Inks: Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, Taken with Teal and Regal Rose

ME.......

These colours could not have come at a better time for me, DD Rylee's 7th birthday is this week, with a shortage of time it was good to be able to combine the two. I have used the SU's Pony Party, which I picked up in Canada while I was there last October, but was only mounted yesterday (it was a very necessary purchase at the time!)- lol!! A perfect time to make it's debut!  I am glad this card is finally finished, colouring in the butterflies, hearts and flowers seemed like such a great idea at the time, nearly sent me cross eyed!  I can tell you that it wasn't smooth sailing, I put it together so many ways and the end result is nothing like what it looked like in my head before it started- but that is usually the way it works for me.  Overall I am happy with the way it turned out, I hope Rylee likes it too!
Hope you enjoy my creation this week (you will need to look really closely to see the Green Galore!)
 Can't wait to see yours!

I have uses stickles on the wings, highlighted with stickles on the tail and the mane too.

The dots both below and on the bottom of the card have been highlighted with dimensional magic.

The Recipe: All SU unless stated
Cardstock: Whisper White, Yoyo yellow, Only Orange, Pixie pink
Stamps: Pony Party
Markers:Yoyo yellow, Only Orange, Pixie pink and Green Galore (look really hard!)
Ink: Stazon Black
Accessories: scallop circle and circle punches, spellbinders nestabilites circles and scallops, Fiskars Apron Lace boarder punch, only orange grosgrain ribbon, unknown white grosgrain ribbon, dimensional magic, stickles 'crystal', kaiser rhinestones, cuttlebug alphabet (I think it is olivia)
